ARMADILLO Conference 2023 Presenter Information
Student Posters:
- Posters should be no larger than 3 feet by 4 feet (height by width), but can be smaller.
- Poster material (paper, fabric, etc.,) is up to the presenter, but the poster must be able to be secured to the display stand with clips/tape/push pins
- Posters will be assigned a specific number and session and need to be set up and presented during the assigned session, in the assigned spot.
- Posters can be set up any time before the poster session and can be left up through the end of the day. All posters not removed at the end of the day will be discarded.
- Awards will be given for best Undergraduate poster presentation and best Graduate poster presentation (announced on Saturday afternoon).
Student Flash Talks:
- Flash talks should be 5-6 minutes in length (with 3-4 minutes for questions). This time limit will be strictly enforced.
- Presenters may use their own lap-tops or the lap-top provided by the venue.
- Presenters using their own lap-top need to make sure they have a port/cable that will allow them to connect to the projector via USB or HDMI.
- Presenters using the venue lap-top should load their presentations before the session begins.
- Flash talk presenters should sit in the front row during the flash talk session (for efficient transition between speakers).
- An award will be given for the best Flash talk presentation.
Faculty Talks:
- Faculty talks should be no more than 15 minutes in length (with 5 minutes for questions). This time limit will be strictly enforced.
- Presenters may use their own lap-tops or the lap-top provided by the venue.
- Presenters using their own lap-top need to make sure they have a port/cable that will allow them to connect to the projector via USB or HDMI.
- Presenters using the venue lap-top should load their presentations before the session begins.
- Faculty presenters are encouraged to sit near the front of the auditorium for efficient transition between speakers
